Delhi CM Rekha Gupta ask for suggestions from people to make budget, Seems contriving ways to decept and deceit people

Townhall Times begins by discussing the politics of vendetta, suggesting that Mrs. Rekha Gupta has given the impression that she is under tight control from the high command and the central government. As a result, she appears unable to think and act independently. She seems to constantly deviate from the *Sankalp Patra*, as she is heavily focused on reviewing the previous government’s financial expenditure reports, which are said to reflect a financial mess and waste of the national exchequer.

Delhi’s Chief Minister, Rekha Gupta, has introduced plans for a ‘people’s budget’ as corruption allegations against the former AAP government continue to surface. With twelve additional CAG reports still pending, Gupta has emphasized the importance of involving the public in the budget-making process. This approach reflects her administration’s commitment to ensuring transparency and accountability, key principles she has prioritized since taking office.

The first budget under the newly-formed BJP government will be presented in the Delhi Assembly between March 24 and 26, Gupta announced during a press conference on Monday. In her statement, she outlined that the 2025-26 budget will be crafted with active input from various segments of society, highlighting a new initiative to make the budgeting process more inclusive. To facilitate public participation, the government has introduced a WhatsApp number through which Delhi residents can submit their suggestions.

Furthering her commitment to a “people’s budget,” Gupta revealed that on March 5, she would meet with representatives from various women’s organizations at the assembly. Additionally, discussions will be held with key stakeholders from the education sector and the business community on March 6. These consultations aim to ensure that the budget aligns with the diverse needs of the city’s residents.

In addition to the WhatsApp number, Gupta also shared an email ID for people to send their suggestions. Throughout the conference, she reassured the public that all commitments made in the BJP’s Sankalp Patra would be fulfilled. Gupta stressed that her government was working with urgency to address these promises, emphasizing that their execution is a priority.

The press conference also featured Cabinet ministers Parvesh Sahib Singh, Ashish Sood, and Manjinder Singh Sirsa, who expressed their full support for the proposed budget initiative. This new approach to budget formulation marks a significant shift in how the Delhi government is engaging with its citizens.
