Townhall Times Is Rahul Gandhi acting as the “safety valve” of the RSS?
Looking at India’s development trajectory, one fact is undeniable: Congress ruled the country for nearly seventy years. Yet, poverty, illiteracy, caste-based oppression, and unemployment remain rampant. Yes, poverty exists among upper castes as well, but its extent is far less. They usually possess land and resources that allow them to progress. On the other hand, Dalits and OBCs are still born into deprivation—often dying hungry and untreated, sometimes on pavements or in the corridors of government hospitals.
If the goal in any parliamentary constituency were to build hospitals, schools, roads, electricity, water supply, dispensaries, colleges, and universities, such development could be achieved within 15–20 years. The bitter truth, however, is that Congress itself deprived the poor of jobs, education, and rights. Today, Congress may appear more appealing only because BJP and the RSS have intensified atrocities against Dalits, OBCs, and Muslims in the name of reinforcing Brahminical supremacy. But if we compare the record of both parties, it becomes evident: Congress and BJP-RSS are two sides of the same coin. What Congress did in its time, BJP is doing today.
That is why some direct questions to Rahul Gandhi and Congress are necessary—questions raised by Advocate Shri Harsh Gautam:
On Reservation and Categorization
When the Supreme Court raised the idea of sub-categorization in reservations, the entire country opposed it, calling it unconstitutional. Yet Congress-ruled Karnataka rushed to implement it. Why? Without caste-wise census data, why was it enforced in such haste? Was Congress, like the RSS, waiting for an excuse to dilute reservations?
Where is Dalit Protection?
Even today, Dalits in villages are beaten for wearing footwear or riding a horse in weddings. During Congress rule in Rajasthan, caste violence persisted. What did Rahul Gandhi and Congress do? Beyond empty sympathy and slogans—nothing.
Silence on Symbolic Politics
Rahul Gandhi, who carries the Constitution in hand, stays silent on symbolic politics. What is his stance on the Sengol installed in Parliament? Instead of merely questioning BJP, will Congress propose replacing it with the national flag and Ashoka Chakra—or will it remain only a rhetorical issue?
Uniform Civil Code: Double Standards
Congress dismisses the UCC as an electoral gimmick, yet Rahul Gandhi speaks of equality and rights. Will Congress, if in power, repeal the UCC—or quietly follow BJP’s line?
CAA: No Clear Stand
If Congress truly believes the Citizenship Amendment Act is discriminatory, why has it not declared its repeal? Is this also just token politics?
Adani and Crony Capitalism
Rahul Gandhi accuses the Modi government of handing over national wealth to Adani. The question is: if Congress comes to power, will it investigate these deals, reclaim lands and contracts, and reverse privatization? Or will it, too, remain silent and carry forward the same agenda?
Caste Census and Representation
Rahul Gandhi repeatedly demands a caste census. But will he take the next step? Will Congress legislate to dismantle Brahminical dominance and ensure proportional representation for Dalits and OBCs across ministries, the army, police, judiciary, and educational institutions? Will it fill the SC/ST backlog? Or will this also remain only a talking point?
Will RSS Be Banned?
History shows that RSS was banned after Gandhi’s assassination. Does Congress today have the courage to impose such a ban again? Or will it hide behind excuses, while RSS and BJP continue dividing the nation along religion, language, and caste?
Vote Theft and Democracy’s Death
It is well known that BJP manipulated EVMs, exploited the Election Commission, and used administrative corruption to seize power. India’s democracy, economy, and justice system are hollowed out like termite-infested wood. So, if Congress forms the government, will Rahul Gandhi prosecute the officials, judges, and election commissioners who strangled democracy? Will Modi and BJP leaders be investigated for fake degrees, electoral fraud, and betrayal of the Constitution? Or will Congress fall back on its familiar refrain—“We won’t take revenge,” “Investigations are ongoing,” “It was the previous government’s decision.”
Ultimately, the real question is this: Is Rahul Gandhi truly doing opposition politics—or is he serving as the safety valve of RSS and BJP, diverting people’s anger away from the establishment?
