Wears foreign clothes, glasses, watches himself, but tells the nation to buy swadeshi goods:

PM said – From tomorrow GST Savings Festival will begin;  Wears foreign clothes, glasses, watches himself, but tells the nation to buy swadeshi goods: On the back-breaking, blood-sucking GST, Kharge said – this is like giving a band-aid after a deep wound.

Townhall Times  Prime Minister Narendra Modi, instead of apologizing to the country for GST, declared it as a festival. GST has acted like a thunderbolt on the poor, small businesses, and medium-level workers of the country. It has destroyed the economy, ruined common people and shopkeepers, but Modi ji is celebrating it as a festival. This is, in itself, a “sadistic pleasure,” meaning the government is enjoying watching people suffer and struggle.

On the other hand, a Congress spokesperson had already said that the BJP government, especially Modi ji, is in a continuous learning mode—falling, stumbling, and somehow running the government by using EVM manipulation and vote theft.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on Sunday. He said—on September 22, with sunrise, the GST Savings Festival will begin. All sections of society will benefit from this. Along with this, the PM appealed to the public: “Buy only those goods in which the sweat of Indians has gone into making them.”

In his 20-minute speech, the PM emphasized GST reform, self-reliant India, and swadeshi. He urged state governments to accelerate manufacturing under the swadeshi campaign. He said they should create an environment for investment, and only when the Center and states work together will the dream be fulfilled.

Meanwhile, after the PM’s address, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge wrote on X: “After eating nine hundred mice, the cat goes on a pilgrimage. Instead of Congress’s simple and efficient GST, the central government imposed ‘Gabbar Singh Tax’ by collecting through nine different slabs and has extracted more than ₹55 lakh crore in eight years. Now, by talking about a ₹2.5 lakh crore ‘savings festival,’ you are only putting a small band-aid after inflicting deep wounds on the public.”

It is a habit or style of Modi ji and the BJP to present every initiative as though it is happening for the first time in the history of the nation. Today also, Modi ji made five big claims.

PM Modi’s Address – 5 Main Points:

  1. Next Generation GST – From September 22 at sunrise, next generation GST will be implemented. “One Nation, One Tax” was my vision when the nation made me PM in 2014.

  2. Poor and Middle Class – In the past 11 years, 25 crore people have overcome poverty in India. Those who came out of poverty are now playing their role as the ‘new middle class.’ This year, the government gave them a gift by exempting income up to ₹12 lakh from tax.

  3. Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) – To reach the goal of a developed India, we must become self-reliant. MSMEs hold a huge responsibility in making India self-reliant.

  4. Swadeshi & Self-Reliant India – I appeal to all state governments to accelerate manufacturing under the swadeshi campaign. Create an environment for investment. Only when the Center and states move together will the dream be fulfilled.

  5. Freedom from Foreign Goods – Our daily-use items are mostly foreign; we must free ourselves from them. We must buy Made in India products. Every household should become a symbol of swadeshi. Every shop should be decorated with swadeshi goods. Proudly say—“This is swadeshi.” Proudly say—“I buy and sell swadeshi.” This should become the mindset of every Indian.

But the reality is that Modi ji himself uses foreign glasses, watches, cars, and almost everything foreign. Perhaps Modi ji has now understood the words of a Congress leader—that until the purchasing power of the common man increases, the country’s economy cannot move forward.
