A Precision Strike Marked by Restraint and Strategy – Ministry of External Affairs
Townhall Times Report: In a carefully orchestrated media briefing, Air Force spokesperson veyomica Singh and Colonel Sofia Qureshi of the Indian Army, representing the Ministry of External Affairs, outlined details of Operation Sindoor, emphasizing that the military action was calibrated, proportionate, and deliberately non-escalatory.
Early Wednesday, India announced it had carried out targeted strikes on terror infrastructure located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK). According to the Indian Army, these sites were directly linked to cross-border terror operations planned against Indian civilians and forces.
The strike comes in direct response to the Pahalgam terror attack, where 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen were killed in a brutal act of violence. Officials reiterated India’s commitment to ensuring accountability for such acts and reaffirmed its zero-tolerance stance on terrorism.
Government sources confirmed that nine specific locations associated with terrorist activities were hit in the operation. The mission was executed entirely from within Indian airspace and deliberately avoided engagement with Pakistani military assets, underlining India’s intent to avoid unnecessary escalation.
Following the strikes, Pakistan reportedly elevated its air defence alert status and issued a statement reserving the right to respond at a time of its choosing.
The Terror Facilities Targeted by India:
- Markaz Subhan Allah, Bahawalpur
- Markaz Taiba, Muridke
- Sarjal / Tehra Kalan

- Markaz Ahle Hadith, Barnala (Bhimber)

Civil Aviation Impact:
Several commercial flights, especially from northern Indian cities such as Srinagar, were suspended following the operation. The Delhi International Airport also released a travel advisory on Wednesday, alerting passengers to possible delays or changes due to evolving airspace conditions in the aftermath of the strikes.
