The Dalit and Adivasi Film Festival (DAFF) 2025 is dedicated to providing a powerful platform for the stories of Dalit and Adivasi communities. This festival showcases films created by Dalit and Adivasi filmmakers, bringing their unheard voices to a global audience.
Key Highlights of DAFF 2025:
🔹 12 selected films – A diverse collection of documentaries, short films, and docu-fiction.
🔹 Post-screening discussions – An opportunity to engage with filmmakers.
🔹 Five special sessions – To be held on February 28, March 28, April 1, April 4, and April 8, 2025.
DAFF 2025 is dedicated to the memory of P.K. Rosy, the first actress of Malayalam cinema. The festival will commence with the screening of Swapnayanam, directed by K.O. Akhil, which portrays P.K. Rosy’s groundbreaking journey.
The festival will feature several esteemed filmmakers, writers, researchers, and social activists, including Prashant More, Pratik Parmar, Palani Kumar, Dr. Nicole Thiara, Dr. Judith Misrahi-Barak, Kalpana Ambedkar, Rocky Mol Selvaraj, Ajay Patir, Lipika Singh Darai, Sheral Murmu, Saumik Hazra, Dr. Purnachandra Naik, Mahisha, and Ampi Panyang.
