Rajpal Yadav Receives Support Amid Legal Dispute and Financial Crisis

Actor and comedian Rajpal Yadav is currently serving a sentence in Tihar Jail in connection with a cheque bounce case amounting to approximately ₹9 crore. The case is related to his 2010 film Ata Pata Laapata. After the film failed at the box office, he reportedly faced significant financial losses, and the matter eventually reached the court. Following the court’s order, he surrendered.
Before surrendering, Rajpal Yadav had acknowledged his financial difficulties. He stated that he was going through a tough phase and was not receiving the expected support from the film industry during this time.
After his situation came to light, several individuals came forward in his support. Actor Sonu Sood expressed his willingness to offer him work in his upcoming film and provide financial assistance. Actor Gurmeet Choudhary also appealed to the film industry to stand united and support him.
Political leader Tej Pratap Yadav announced financial assistance of ₹11 lakh. Music producer Rao Inderjeet Singh Yadav also assured financial help.
The legal proceedings in the matter are still ongoing.
