Nitish Kumar Have Become the “Bhishma Pitamah of Corruption”: Tejashwi Yadav

Townhall Times | Bihar RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav launched a direct attack on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, branding him the “Bhishma Pitamah of corruption.” He alleged that the Chief Minister, in collusion with retired officials, is plundering the state’s resources. According to Yadav, the people of Bihar will take their revenge in the upcoming elections.

Raising questions over the state’s law and order, Tejashwi Yadav said, “Crime in Bihar is spiraling out of control. Gunfire is reported daily, people are being killed, and criminals roam freely under the protection of the CM and Deputy CM. The reality is that hardly a day passes without incidents of murder, loot, or sexual violence.”

Citing a recent incident, he stated, “Last night, a resident of Raghopur was shot dead near Commerce College. Every day, nearly 200 rounds of bullets are fired, and in just one week, over 100 murders have taken place. Yet, the administration takes no action, nor do they listen to the victims’ families.”

On the issue of corruption, Yadav further alleged, “Just yesterday, raids at the residence of a Rural Works Department engineer led to the recovery of crores of rupees. The question is, why is it that every time global trading happens, crores are recovered from engineers of the same department? Despite this, no decisive action is being taken against the guilty officials.”

Responding to the controversy, Deputy CM Smart Chaudhary said, “The allegations made by Tejashwi Yadav are serious and the government must give a clear answer. The people of Bihar are living in constant fear and insecurity. The law-and-order situation is alarming. If the government fails to conduct a fair investigation and take concrete action, public trust will collapse completely.”
